Mr. and Mrs. Larry Halvorson of Paducah recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the home of Brent and Jenny Johnson in Paducah.

Mr. Halvorson and the former Dorothy Irene Hoffman were married Oct. 6, 1951, by the Rev. Casimer Cieslewicz at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Buyck, Minn. Their attendants were William Jyhla and Jessie Hoffman.

Mr. and Mrs. Halvorson owned and leased commercial properties and formerly owned and operated retail fabric, shoe and wholesale auto parts stores.

Mrs. Halvorson is the daughter of the late Stanley and Rose Hoffman. Mr. Halvorson is the son of the late Lawrence and Mary Halvorson.

They have four children: Larry Halvorson III of Boise, Idaho, Michael Halvorson of Stevensville, Mont., Pat Halvorson and Bruce Halvorson, both of Paducah; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
