BENTON — Dorothy Sue Sherman Locklin, 76, of Benton, Kentucky, and formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, died Friday, January 25, 2013, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Sue was born in Memphis on April 6, 1936. After high school, she pursued a career as medical technician.

She lived and worked in Detroit, Michigan, for many years and then in Memphis, retiring from the Regional Medical Center there.

She is survived by her son, Kurt Browne of Rocky Mount, Missouri; sister-in-law, Margaret Sherman of Benton; niece and nephew, Peg Sherman Riley of Benton and Michael Sherman of Columbia, Tennessee; and other relatives and friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alberta Sherman; and her brothers, Ken and Bob Sherman.

Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of local arrangements.

Celebration of life services will be scheduled at a later date in Memphis.
