MURRAY — Donald Tibbs, 83, of Murray died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Spring Creek Health Care.

He attended Hardin Baptist Church and retired from LTV Steel Co.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Tibbs; three daughters, Paula Tibbs of Louisville, Vicki Hanna of Grand Rapids, Minn., and Geri Fresacher of Superior, Wis.; one son, Donald Tibbs of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Veletta Tibbs.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blalock-Coleman and York Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Cunningham officiating. Burial will be at Murray Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
