BENTON — Mr. and Mrs. Don Filbeck of Benton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 31.

Mr. Filbeck and the former Peggy Delores Chambers were married Aug. 31, 1962, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Benton with the Rev. Jay Frank Young officiating. Their attendants were Bobby Riley and Virginia Riley.

Mrs. Filbeck is retired from South Marshall Elementary School in Benton. She is the daughter of the late James and Virginia Chambers.

Mr. Filbeck is retired from General Tire & Rubber Co. in Mayfield. He is the son of the late William and Lerah Filbeck.

They are the parents of Kent Filbeck of Owensboro, the late Kerry Filbeck and the late Kevin Filbeck. They have two grandchildren.
