Dodie and Charles Gholson

CLINTON — Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gholson of Clinton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Gholson and the former Dodie Courtney were married Oct. 5, 1962, by the Rev. Ethan Crider at his home in the Beulah community of Hickman County. Their attendants were Charles Brewer and Patsy Brewer.

Mrs. Gholson is a retired teacher. She is the daughter of the late E.S. “Pat” and Dixie Courtney.

Mr. Gholson is a retired postal inspector. He is the son of the late James and Irene Gholson.

They have three children: Jeanna Kimbell of Clinton, Lt. Col. David Gholson of Williamsburg, Va., and Lora Walker of Huntsville, Ala.; and nine grandchildren.
