Delmar R. Allen Jr., 61, of Paducah, formerly of Indianapolis, died at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday at Lourdes hospital.

He was a member of Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries and a retiree of the Indiana University custodial department.

He is survived by two daughters, Tacoya Jones and Tramaine Williams, both of Indianapolis; one son, Travis Allen of Indianapolis; two brothers, Anthony Allen of Bolen Brooks, Ill., and Ivin Allen of Paducah; one sister, Meshell Rhodes of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Webster-Allen, and one brother. His parents were Delmar R. Allen Sr. and Mary Crayton Allen.

Memorial services will be held later in Indianapolis. Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
