David Keith Yancy Sr., 65, of Paducah, passed away at 9 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Lourdes hospital.

Mr. Yancy was a lifelong pharmacist in the Western Kentucky area, having opened many local pharmacies.

He was a former member of the Boy Scouts, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with all his grandchildren. He was a member of Faith Center Church, and a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Billie Lynn Ray Yancy; two sons, David Keith Yancy Jr. (Sandy) of Nashville, Tenn., and Kris Albert Yancy (fiancé Tuesdae Wells) of Paducah, Ky.; four grandchildren, Mason and Hannah Yancy of Mayfield, Ky., and Blake and Kirsten Yancy of Paducah.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Faith and Landon Yancy. His parents were Albert Keith and Lila Marguerite Sulver Yancy.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
