VIENNA, Ill. — W. David Whiteside, 89, of the Pond community, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Simpson Baptist Church. Burial with military rites will be in Whiteside Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna and after 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the church.
