David E. Hendrickson, 57, of Paducah, passed away at 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Hendrickson was a truck driver for H.T. Hackney Company of Paducah. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Gulf War, and was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post #236 of Calvert City. He attended Bridge Street Lighthouse Church and The New Beginning Church, both of Paducah.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Hendrickson; one stepson, John Ness of Sioux City, Iowa; one stepdaughter, Nancy Ness of Rochester, Minnesota; two brothers, Eddie L. Hendrickson of Reidland and Jimmy Don Hendrickson of Mayfield; one sister, Doris F. Hendrickson of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Kimberlee Littrel and Wayman Littrel; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Hendrickson, and his parents, James S. Hendrickson and Jane Steen Hendrickson.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Jim Downey and Bro. Tony Davidson officiating.
Burial with military rites will follow at Ford Cemetery in Marshall County.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour Sunday at the funeral home.
