CUNNINGHAM — Curtis E. “Red” Terry, 85, of Cunningham died at 10:32 a.m. Thursday at his home.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served with the 6th USAAF 26th Air Force Fighter Command during WWII. He was retired from TVA’s Shawnee Steam Plant.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Terry; five children, Joe C. Terry of Clinton, Ruth Dietsch of Cunningham, Kathy DeLong of Aiea, HI, Jill Brechbill of Terre Haute, Ind., and Penny Rathermel of Cunningham; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rachel Adams of Cunningham.
He was preceded in death by five brothers; and two sisters. His parents were William Henry and Delma Hammett Terry.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with the Revs. David Hardy and Larry Purcell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery with military rites. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
