MURRAY — Curtis Eugene “Gene” Cohoon, 79, of Macon, Ga., formerly of Murray, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Pine Point Hospice in Macon, Ga.
He was a retired engineer with the Emerson Electric Company.
He was the former president of the Emerson Management Advisory Council and a former member of the Emerson Engineers Club. He was a former member of the Murray Lions Club and a member of First United Methodist Church in Murray.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Berry Cohoon; one daughter, Kimberly Casebeer of Macon, Ga.; one sister, Frances Pugh of Clemmons, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
His parents were William Curtis Cohoon and Maude Lee Farris Cohoon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with burial in Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the funeral home.
