Cordie Hugh Bridges, Jr., 69, of Paducah, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at 3:20 a.m. at Lourdes hospital.
He worked as a self employed mechanic and as a mechanic for the McCracken County Board of Education. He also worked for Vasseur Landscaping and Excavating.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Lori Bridges of Paducah; five grandchildren, Robin (Teresa) Ross, Christy (Brandon) Robertson, William Bridges, Jennifer (Steve) Johnson, and Courtney Cunningham; six great-grandchildren, Destiny Ross, Allie Robertson, Kalie Johnson, Savannah Cunningham, Noah Robertson, and Hadley Johnson; five sisters, Louise Bottoms, Malinda Richie, Sharon Cunningham, Patsy Slagle, and Marjorie Wilson, all of Paducah, and one brother, James E. Willingham of Graves County.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Clara Scott Bridges; a son, Cordie Bridges III, and his parents, Cordie Hugh Bridges, Sr. and Carrie Crutcher.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Folsomdale.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, June 5, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
