Kristen Kaye McElroy and Connor Andrew Ojard were united in marriage June 4 at First Baptist Church of Paducah with the Rev. Stephen Thomas officiating. Miss Olivia Wagoner of Memphis, Tenn., was the Scripture reader.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Bradley and Brenda McElroy of Paducah.

The groom is the son of Brad and Joni Ojard of Spanish Fort, Ala.

The bride chose Mrs. Beth Hill of Tulsa, Okla., as her matron of honor, and Miss Alli McElroy of Paducah as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Paige Slaughter and Mrs. Erinn Schmit, both of Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Emily McElroy of Lexington; and Miss Haley Venard of Curacao, Dutch Caribbean. Miss Libby Thomas, daughter of David and Alice Thomas of St. Louis, served as the flower girl.

The groom chose Tripp Harrison of Birmingham as his best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Underwood of Cullman, Ala.; Scott McElroy of Lexington; Michael Schmit of Birmingham; Matt Hill of Tulsa; and Dillon Sims of Spanish Fort. Serving as ushers were Wesley Ranew of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Ty Jordan and Evan Smith, both of Daphne, Ala.

A reception followed at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center. Miss Anna Tarantino of Morgantown, W.Va., attended the guest register.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2011 from Samford University in Birmingham. She is employed by Bagley Elementary School in Birmingham.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of Daphne High School in Daphne, Ala., and a 2011 graduate of Samford University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is attending the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Medicine.

They reside in Birmingham.
