Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hopper of Paducah will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Twelve Oaks Baptist Church. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.
Mr. Hopper and the former Betty June Reynolds were married May 4, 1962, at Twelfth Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Denzel Dukes. Their attendants were Gerald and Pat Bradford.
Mrs. Hopper is the retired co-owner of Second Time Around Too. She is the daughter of the late Katherine White and the late Sampson Reynolds.
Mr. Hopper is retired from Shawnee Steam Plant. He is the son of the late Ralph and Edna Hopper.
They have one son, Derek Jay Hopper of Boaz, and one grandchild.
