MAYFIELD — Carrol W. Barnard, age 91, of Mayfield, Ky., formerly of Fulton, died 5:46 p.m., December 16, 2012, at the Mills Health & Rehab Center in Mayfield.
He was a charter member of the South Fulton United Methodist Church and was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Corps. He had been a manager for the former Southern States Farm Stores. He moved to this area from Calhoun, Ky., in 1990.
He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Anderson of Winchester, Va., Dee McClay of South Fulton, Tenn., and Paula Thomas of Louisa, Va.; two sons, Raymond Barnard of Nashville, Tenn., and Fred Barnard of St. Charles, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Werneke of Greenville, Ind.; and two brothers, Brooks Barnard of Indianapolis, Ind., and John David Barnard of Albion, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ella (Johns) Barnard; his parents, John and Ina (Brown) Barnard; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel and interment in the Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour.
