Dean and Sharon Carpenter of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Ann Carpenter, to Aaron Michael Zlokovich, son of Neil and Martha Zlokovich of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Miss Carpenter is the granddaughter of the late Wade and Elsie Tilford, and the late LeRoy and Lillian Carpenter. She is a 2009 graduate of Community Christian Academy in Paducah and is a student at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington. She is employed as a nanny in Lexington.

Mr. Zlokovich is the grandson of James and Nell Potter of Pensacola, Fla., and the late Lloyd and Barbara Zlokovich. He is a 2006 graduate of Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau and earned a bachelor’s degree in public communications in 2010 from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo. He is a small business owner and operator in Lexington.

A September wedding is planned.
