II Timothy 4-8 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Miss. Carolyn Belle Wood, age 78, of Paducah, formerly of Mayfield opened her eyes on the morning of Thursday, January 3, 2013, not only to see another day, but a visitor whom she had been longing to see, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He led her to her heavenly home at 1:12 p.m. from the ER of Western Baptist Hospital.

Miss. Wood was born on March 9, 1934, to Esker Wood and Mildred Chapman Wood. She was a graduate of Mayfield High School and as a young girl started working as a radio announcer for the W.N.G.O Radio. Later she went into retail sales as a shoe saleslady working at Jeans department store in downtown Paducah. She worked for Friendly Finance and had a catering business where she catered many weddings in Paducah and surrounding areas.

Miss. Wood was a very active member of the Gospel Assembly Church of Paducah where she sang in the adult choir and worked in the Vacation Bible School. She was a Kentucky Colonel, a Duchess of Paducah and most important of all a Prayer Warrior for many across the United States. She was currently serving as a board member of the Paducah Housing Authority.

She leaves behind a host of friends which she called, My Kids. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Gospel Assembly Church in Paducah with Ministers of the Body and Friends officiating. Friends may visit at the Keeling Family Funeral Home, 2410 Jackson Street, Paducah, Ky. 42003 on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m.
