Kristi Marie Buysse and Gregory George Gates will be united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Mishawaka, Ind.

Miss Buysse is the daughter of Barry Buysse and Maxine Buysse, both of South Bend, Ind. She is the granddaughter of the late Francesco and Rose Spalazzi, and the late Albert and Mary Buysse. She is a graduate of Marian sports_high_school in Mishawaka and earned an associate degree from Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Ind., and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. She is employed as a paralegal in the St. Joseph County Prosecutors Office, Special Victims Unit, South Bend.

Mr. Gates is the son of George and Doreen Gates of Boaz. He is the grandson of the late Leslie Manning, the late Wenona Manning Gallman, the late Henry Gallman, and the late Lloyd and Irene Gates. He is a graduate of St. Mary sports_high_school and earned an associate degree from Paducah Community College and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He is employed as a general manager at Logan’s Roadhouse in Mishawaka.
