Carla Waynette Butler and Chad Everett Cook will be united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday at Dexter Baptist Church in Dexter. All friends and relatives are invited.
Miss Butler is the daughter of the Rev. Carl and Geneva Butler of Almo. She is the granddaughter of Joyce Duncan Thorne of Dexter and the late William “Bud” Thorne, and the late William Claud and Ruby Butler. She is a 1993 graduate of Marshall County High School in Benton, a 1996 graduate of Paducah Community College with an associate degree and a 1998 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She earned a master’s degree in education in 2003 from Union University in Jackson, Tenn., and is employed by the Marshall County Board of Education.
Mr. Cook is the son of Scherryl and Ed Stallons of Cadiz and the late James William Cook Jr. He is the grandson of the late Cloyce and Virginia Holder Gourley, and the late Emma and James William Cook Sr. He is a 1992 graduate of Reidland High School and attended West Kentucky Technical School.
