Ray Brooks Baucum, 79, of Paducah, died at 1:09 p.m. Sunday at his home.

He was a member of Heartland Worship Center and Paducah American Legion Post 31. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked as a Grocery Store Clerk at A&P Grocery, Myrick’s Grocery, and Wal-Mart.

He is survived by two sons, Mike Baucum and Jerry Baucum, both of Paducah; two brothers, Ralph Baucum and Ronnie Baucum, both of Paducah; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers; his parents were Wallace and Pharrie McCuiston Baucum.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Larry Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
