Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hayden of Paducah recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at Big Bear Lodge in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Mr. Hayden and the former Brenda Green were married March 3, 1962, by the Rev. Charles Denardi in the rectory of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah.

Mrs. Hayden retired after 28 years from foster parenting. She is the daughter of Robbie Lee Brown Green of Paducah and the late James R. Green.

Mr. Hayden retired from the Illinois Central Gulf and P&L railroads. He is the son of the late Ambrose and Aara Richards Hayden.

They have four children: M. Denise Hayden Maldonado of North Carolina, Timothy L. Hayden, Janet Leigh Hayden Parks and Chris Hayden, all of Paducah; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
