METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brewer of Metropolis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Mr. Brewer and the former Betty Sielbeck were married Jan. 26, 1963, by the Rev. Garfield Smothers at Hillerman Baptist Church. Their attendants were Hartsel Black and Carol Sielbeck.

Mrs. Brewer is the daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline Sielbeck.

Mr. Brewer is retired from Massac Memorial Hospital. He is the son of the late Charles and Almeda Brewer.

They have two children: Brian Brewer and Beth Korte, both of Metropolis; and three grandsons.
