Bob Travis, 73, of Paducah passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. at his residence.
Mr. Travis was a native of Westfield, Ill. He retired from Josten Jewelers, and was a very active member of the Fellowship Assembly of Jesus Christ Church where he served as a Trustee. He also served in the National Guard. He was a volunteer for the Community Closet as well as the Tent City Mission.
He leaves behind his wife, Sandra Martin Travis of Paducah; five children, Donna Carlin and Tracy Miller, both of Illinois, Cheryl M. Mapes of Kansas, Robert Travis Jr., of Chicago and Michael Travis of Virginia; one stepdaughter, Jackie Berg of Tennessee; one sister, Kate Durbin of Illinois; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Travis; one daughter, Tina Travis; his parents, Eugene Travis and Verna Gladys Hubbard Travis, and one brother.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Fellowship Assembly of Jesus Christ Church, 2154 Oaks Rd., Paducah, Ky. 42003 with the Rev. Rocky Hill officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Fellowship Assembly of Jesus Christ Church, 2154 Oaks Rd., Paducah, Ky. 42003.
