Jerry and Debbie Bishop of Cookeville, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Maria Christine Bishop, to Joseph Zachary Greenwood, son of Joe Greenwood and Kim Dyer, both of Cookeville, Tenn.

Miss Bishop is the granddaughter of Peggy Case of Winchester and the late Lou Case, and Jerry and Zexia Bishop of Gilbertsville. She is a 2009 graduate of Cookeville High School and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville.

Mr. Greenwood is the grandson of Wilma Brown of Cookeville, Mike Randolph of Cookeville, and Potter and Kaye Greenwood of Cookeville. He is a 2009 graduate of Cookeville High School and a 2011 EMT-IV graduate of Tennessee Technological University, where he is attending paramedic school. He is employed as an EMT-IV for Putnam County Emergency Medical Services.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. May 18 at First United Methodist Church in Cookeville.
