KEVIL — Billie Ann Duncan Truitt, 88, of Kevil, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 1:15 p.m. at Superior Care Home.
Billie was born February 29, 1924, in Crittenden County, Ky., to the late Leslie Malcolm Duncan and Ruth James Duncan. She graduated from Draughon’s Business College and worked as a bookkeeper at Jimmy’s Market in Future City, Ky.
Billie was a faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a loving wife and mother and the ultimate Grandmother, known as “Nana” by her family.
Surviving are her children, Pat D’Haillecourt and husband Henry of Kevil, Duncan Truitt and wife Bonita of Kevil, and Roger Truitt and wife Jean of Paducah; seven grandchildren, John (Lisa) Truitt of Kevil, Doug (Shannon) Truitt of Paducah, Mary Truitt of North Carolina, Leslie Travis of Paducah, Lori (Roman) Keeney of West Lafayette, Ind., Kristi Cates of Paducah and Aaron (Amanda) Truitt of West Paducah; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Virgil R. Truitt; a sister, Mary Helen Ford; a brother, J.L. Duncan; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Andrew Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at McKendree Church Cemetery in Kevil.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
