Bill Butterfield, 86, of Paducah died at 4:51 a.m. Wednesday at McCracken Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He worked as an auto body mechanic and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by one son, Robert Butterfield; three sisters, Betty Grace, Dimple Brinker and Georgia Emery; and one brother, Mack Butterfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; five sisters; and one brother.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Metropolis, Ill.
