HICKORY — Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lee of Hickory will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a tea from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 30 at Clarks River Baptist Church in Symsonia. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Lee and the former Beverly Carole Thompson were married Sept. 30, 1962, by Corky Bynum at his home in Mayfield. Their attendants were Donna Ahart Dodson and Jimmy Carter.

Mrs. Lee is the daughter of the late Raymond and Alma Wyatt Thompson.

Mr. Lee is retired from Ingersoll Rand in Mayfield. He is the son of the late H.C. and Armra Elizabeth Brooks Lee.

They have three children: Ronda Hartman of Boaz, Elisa Norton and Lonna Hailey, both of Hickory; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
