Betty J. Petty, 72, was born March 22, 1940, in Paducah. She died September 29, 2012, in Des Moines, Iowa.

She is survived by daughters, Manya and Courtney Nicole; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Greater Love COGIC, 1440 DeWolf St., Des Moines, IA 50301.
