Mr. and Mrs. James Berry Jr. of Clinton announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Anne Berry, to Jeremy Wayne Short, son of Anthony Short of Stoney Fork and Renee Daniel of Middlesboro.

Miss Berry is the granddaughter of Claudia Berry of Murray and the late Jim Berry, and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Rollinson of Salem, Ill. She is a 2003 graduate of Hickman County High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Eastern Kentucky University. She is the director of account services at iHigh.com in Lexington.

Mr. Short is the grandson of Nelson Short of Stoney Fork, Maxine Wilson of Deltona, Fla., Alva Daniel of Ben Hur, Va., and Carolyn Daniel of Smith. He is a 2002 graduate of James A. Cawood High School and served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, with two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. He earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Eastern Kentucky University and is an assistant project manager at Gray Construction in Lexington.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 7 p.m. July 7 at Hilary J. Boone Center in Lexington.
