KEVIL — Ben Galloway, 78, of Kevil died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday at Southgate Nursing and Rehab Center in Metropolis, Ill.
He formerly worked as a coal miner.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Galloway; four daughters, Benji Villian of Terre Haute, Ind., Buna Plunkette of Eddyville, Suzanne Bean and Sidney Johnson, both of Champaign, Ill.; one son, Rickie Galloway of Petersburg, Ind.; one sister, Buna Morgan of Clarksville, Tenn.; one brother, James Galloway of Bardwell; three stepdaughters; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Littlepage Galloway; nine sisters; and six brothers. His parents were Robert and Edna Galloway.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville with Bill South officiating.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah and after 1 p.m. Sunday at the cemetery.
