Toni Lester of Henderson and Jerry Babb of Evansville, Ind., announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Ruth Babb, to John Rex Ryan, son of John and Martha Ryan of Paducah.

Miss Babb is the granddaughter of Don and Shirley Lester of Henderson, and Glenn and Phyllis Babb of Eddyville. She is a 2001 graduate of Henderson County High School, a 2005 graduate of Brescia University and a 2008 graduate of Henderson Community College. She is a registered nurse.

Mr. Ryan is a 2001 graduate of Lone Oak High School. He is an auto technician.

A fall wedding is planned.
