METROPOLIS, Ill. — Anna Belle Fitzpatrick, 87, of Metropolis died Friday at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She graduated from Dunbar School and completed two years of higher education. She worked as secretary for Shawnee Development, Vienna Prison and Dr. George Green. She was a member of Mount Horeb Baptist Church.

She is survived by one brother, Alexander Fitzpatrick of St. Louis; and one sister, Emma Lou Johnson of Metropolis.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Her parents were Freeman Fitzpatrick and Mary O’Gwen Fitzpatrick.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mount Horeb Baptist Church with Rev. Benny Heady officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
