KUTTAWA — Allie Maybell Downing Yates, age 71, of Kuttawa died at 10:06 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

Survivors include Homer Lynn Yates; two sons, Stacey Yates of Burna and Eddie Yates of Kuttawa; four daughters, Rosell Knight of Kuttawa, Phyllis Dycus of Kuttawa, Marlena Hamby of Eddyville, and Connie Lyons of Kuttawa; one brother, Johnie Downing of Kuttawa; three sisters, Joann Woodall of Kuttawa, Betty Shaffer of Robinsville, N.C., and Hazel Millsap of Robinsville, N.C.; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Homer and Maude Trim Downing; two sons, James Yates and Kenny Yates; one grandson, Jake Ryan Yates; one great-grandson, Ethan Lee Cotton; one brother, Henry Downing; and two sisters, Dorothy Oliver and Christina Fulks.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Dunn’s. Expressions of sympathy my be left at dunnsfuneralhome.net.
