Mr. and Mrs. Jim Flowers of Paducah recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Flowers and the former Alice Marie Penn were married Jan. 23, 1953, at Fountain Avenue Church in Paducah.

Mrs. Flowers is the daughter of the late Marshall and Sally Penn.

Mr. Flowers is a retired carpenter. He is the son of the late Clarence and Hallie Flowers.

They have six children: Mike Flowers of Kevil, Steve Flowers of Tucson, Ariz., Dana Flowers of Reidland, Melanie Heun of Benton, Tina Williams of Vine Grove and Duane Flowers of West Bend, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
