LOUISVILLE — Alice Arnett, 75, of Louisville, formerly of Calloway County, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday at Kindred Hospital.
She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, retired as librarian of Reenwood Elementary School and served her church as a volunteer librarian. She received a master’s degree in library science from Murray State University.
She is survived by one sister, Julia Burkeen of Reidland; one nephew, James McKinley Burkeen of Murrietta, Calif.; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and eight cousins.
Her parents were McKinley and Verona Hartsfield Arnett.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blalock-Coleman and York Funeral Home with the Rev. David Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Murray City Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
