Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hess of Paducah celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on Saturday at Mr. Bill’s Restaurant in Grand Rivers.

Mr. Hess and the former Maureen J. Zechman were married Sept. 1, 1962, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Their attendants were Cheryl Zechman and John Janidlo.

Mr. and Mrs. Hess are the owners of A.J. Hess & Associates, Inc., engineering company in Calvert City.

Mrs. Hess is the daughter of the late Eleanor and Sylvester Zechman. Mr. Hess is the son of the late Treva and Alton Hess.

They have three children: Todd Hess of Kevil, Kevin Hess of Louisville and Daryl Hess of Paducah; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
