Kentucky Baptists and other Southern Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers began constructing shelves for donations of medical supplies at an emergency clinic, Immediately following the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti,. Recently volunteers have been constructing new houses for some of the thousands of Haitians displaced by the disaster. Kentucky Baptists have given more than $640,000 toward the rebuilding effort.
