Created as a place of solemn reflection and classical beauty, the Works of Mercy Chapel at Saint Thomas More Church in Paducah will receive a weekend of special recognition leading up to its blessing. During Evening Mass at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Bishop William F. Medley will preside over the blessing of the new chapel, the embedding of a relic of Pope Pius X and the consecration of the altar. Tours are available following Friday's Mass at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Saturday's Mass at 5:30 p.m., and Sunday's Mass at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
