Advertisers miss opportunities by regionalizing circulars

NANCY O'BRIEN Eddyville

EDITOR:

We have subscribed to The Paducah Sun for 10 years and are curious to  know why we do not receive all of the valuable inserts that your other subscribers get.

Living in Eddyville, we have very limited shopping opportunities and do most of our shopping in Paducah. I have called the 270-575-8800 number and have not been offered the chance to be added to an expanded list. Instead, I was told that I would have to contact each of the stores and restaurants individually.

These businesses are missing out on an expansive market by not sending coupons and sale information to the western Kentucky patrons who do not have the advantage of a great many personal services, restaurants and stores from which to select.

EDITOR'S NOTE: While we encourage advertisers to send preprinted inserts to all of our readers, some do choose to limit distribution to McCracken County or even certain areas within McCracken County. In addition to our own efforts, it is helpful when readers in areas that do not receive the circulars let advertisers know of their wish to receive them.
