McConnell likes to make promises he can't deliver on

By VIVIAN FIELDS Paducah

EDITOR:

I see Mitch is at it again. He does not have the USEC plant as his platform here in western Kentucky. He promised to keep it open and running. Some people believed it and reelected him. It was all a pack of lies.

Now he is promising the people in eastern Kentucky to keep the coal mines working without inspections from the EPA. He said Alison Grimes will give them more power. I guess he wants them to work in dangerous conditions.

The EPA's job is to make sure the miners' working conditions are safe. Mitch loves to promise deregulation. This is where our problems came from. It is Reagan's trickle down economics and deregulations that did not work. The wealthy did not trickle down anything, and deregulation made the economic downfall possible.

They are now trying to blame President Obama for the illegal immigrants from South America. President Bush signed the bill that allows this to go on and the Republican Congress will not do anything to correct it. They are still blaming the president for this too.

Well the Republican hypocrites should be ashamed for all of their lies. May God have mercy on us.
