Nations suffer consequences if they reject God, do not repent

By RENE SMITH Paducah

EDITOR:

Nations who turn away from God suffer consequences if they do not repent.

Noah's neighbors ridiculed him as he built the ark, but they were left behind and drowned as Noah and his family safely floated away.

Genesis 12 says nations who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse it will be cursed. All of Israel belongs to the Jews and we are to protect them, not fund their enemies as we've done.

We still take the lives of 4,000 unborn babies daily. More states are allowing same-sex marriages, and our religious activities and symbols continue to be removed from public places.

Christian Action Network reported that some schools and universities in several states have Islamic programs and activities. Muslims have special prayer rooms, foot baths are being built for them, and students chant praises to Allah but can't mention God.

Thus far, consequences of our turning away from God include the destruction of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, and the stock market crash seven years later in September 2008. It's interesting that the next seven-year period ends September 2015, the time of the last of four moon eclipses we are experiencing. We are seeing signs and wonders in the heavens as Genesis 1:4 and other Scriptures say indicate coming events.

Biblical prophecies have been fulfilled to this point, with a few more to go, and we're living some of these now, including those in Ezekiel 37, 38 and 39; Daniel; Joel 2; Matthew 24; Luke 21: I and II Peter; II Timothy; and Revelation. Be ready.
