PCM grateful for community's support of Moonlight Bike Ride

By HEIDI SUHRHEINRICH Executive Director Paducah Cooperative Ministry

EDITOR:

On behalf of everyone at Paducah Cooperative Ministry, I want to say thank you to our generous community for the support of the first ever Moonlight Bike Ride. Presented by the Chain Reaction Cycling Club and Bike World of Paducah, the ride was a fundraising event benefiting Paducah Cooperative Ministry.

We are grateful for the hundreds of riders who were a part of this inaugural event as well as our sponsors, supporting congregations, and the many volunteers who donated their time and talents.

Paducah Cooperative Ministry was formed in 1973 when a group of local congregations from the faith community responded to the need of the hungry in our community with a food pantry. Though the pantry is still an integral part of our day-to-day operations, we also help qualified residents avoid utility disconnection and eviction; assist single women and women with children who might not have a place to sleep or call home; distribute senior commodities and much more.

While the needs of our neighbors here in McCracken County continue to rise, it's the creative, generous efforts of people like our Moonlight Ride organizers, supporters and participants that enable PCM to continue to meet those needs and we want to take every opportunity to acknowledge these efforts.

If you would like to learn more about our services or how to be involved, we invite your call at 270-442-6795 or you may visit us on Facebook or our website, www.paducahcoopministry.org.
