McConnell votes against the people who elect him

By SUSAN BRYANT Cadiz

EDITOR:

I guess you saw that we have 1,600 more jobs leaving Kentucky with Toyota. We just lost Fruit of the Loom and Mitch McConnell tells us it is not his job to bring jobs to Kentucky.

Mitch touts himself as a powerful senator. His ads say he's a Kentucky hero. What a bunch of "bull."

If he can't do a better job than he has shown in 30 years, why in the world would you vote for him again?

You do remember that Mitch McConnell's wife Elaine Chao was President George W. Bush's U.S. Secretary of Labor from 2001-2009? Yes, I said U.S. Secretary of Labor. Apparently Mitch did not even have any pull with his own wife to bring jobs here even with an inside edge. He was too busy building up his war chest for his next election.

Kentucky has long been seeking companies to come into Kentucky. Kentucky needs jobs. Mitch has had years and years to show that he is worthy to have another six years to represent us. I say he hasn't represented us yet. Are we foolish enough to think he would start to in 2015?

Choose any issue and take a look at his voting record. He votes against the people who elected him, but tells us over and over how much he looks out for us. People who are not fact-checkers may believe he is truthful but the facts prove differently.
