Obamacare promises ring hollow as coverage costs begin to soar

By JAMES WATSON Paducah

EDITOR:

Lenin, architect of the Soviet Communist state, said, "Socialized medicine is the keystone to the arch of the Socialist state." He knew that if the government controls one's access to health care, it can decide if you live or die, and thereby control your life.

The president told Congress and Americans that Obamacare's cost would be less than $1 trillion over 10 years. We all now know the cost will exceed $10 trillion factoring in the states' costs, the "individual mandate," increased insurance premiums, the $716 billion being stolen from Medicare, the 21 new taxes and tax increases, and the outrageous cost to businesses of complying with  new mandates.

Mr. Obama claimed the annual family cost would drop by $2,500 by the end of his first term. It's up an average of $3,000 and still climbing. By 2016 the IRS says it'll be $20,000 per year. We must repeal this 2,700-page law.
