Paducah should honor Torian for accomplishments, sacrifice

By GLADMAN C. HUMBLES Paducah

EDITOR:

A priest snapped his fingers and told me if one lived to be a hundred, that's how long he would be on this earth. I asked for an explanation. He replied that in the aeons of time a hundred years pass like a split second. He added that it's not about the time God gave you - it's what you do with your time that counts.

Master Sgt. Aaron Carl Torian, a highly decorated Marine, did some remarkable things during his given time of 36 years. Aaron used his allotted time enriching the lives of his family, friends and the fortunate ones who knew him.

Aaron Carl Torian was a Paducah native who passed on Feb. 15, 2014. His many and magnificent accomplishments can be found in his obituary in The Paducah Sun of Feb. 25, 2014.

Paducah must honor this man who sacrificed his existence for all America. It would be proper and fitting for Paducah to honor a man who accomplished so much in so little time. Aaron Carl Torian should have a street named after him or a tribute recognizing his good work and deeds here on earth.
