Inefficient programs show dangers of big government

A reader recently accused you of never seeing a liberal/progressive idea you don't hate and that you've abandoned a legacy. Years ago the Democratic Party began embracing liberalism and abandoned our conservative heritage and Biblical principles. Many of us refused to join them and began voting Republican. For those who have no clue what "liberal" and "progressive" mean, here are Webster's definitions.

Liberal: Not restricted, generous, free or indecorous in behavior, licentious. Note: We see the results, including no self-control, school shootings, brutality, irresponsibility, promiscuity and 4,000 abortions daily.

Progressive: Personal freedom, broadminded, liberated from rigid doctrine.

Socialism: Marxist doctrine - the stage of society between the capitalist stage and communism which eliminates private ownership.

Communism: State run society, one party structure, government controls everything.

Conservative: Adhere to sound principles, personal responsibility, preserve what is established. Note: That's Biblical principles, free enterprise, capitalism, and incentives to succeed, which made America great.

We're aware that President Obama's obvious socialist agenda and government control are destroying America. Government has never run anything efficiently; the post office is in debt, and programs have been ripped off for billions, including Medicare. We're wise enough to make decisions for ourselves and certainly don't want government controlling health care, wages or anything else.

We're grateful that you're giving us facts and telling the truth about what's going on in the political arena. Keep up the good work.
