Donald Steffey

Donald S. "Don" Steffey, 68, of Murray died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at his home.

He retired as the nursing supervisor at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Steffey; two sons, William M. Steffey of Orlando, Fla., and Michael C. Steffey of Ringgold, Ga., and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, D.J. Steffey, and two brothers. His parents were Elbert C. Steffey and Vera "Burlene" (Melton) Steffey.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to Murray-Calloway County Endowment for Healthcare, Att. Residential Hospice House, 803 Poplar St., Murray, KY 42071; or to a charity of choice.
