Billy Proctor

Staff report

BENTON - Billy Proctor, 70, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away at 10:02 a.m. Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Lourdes hospital.

Billy owned and worked as a hairdresser at Billy's Beauty Shop. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Treas Proctor of Benton, Kentucky; one daughter, Holi Proctor Reid of Benton, Kentucky; two grandsons, Myles Reid and Paxton Reid of Benton, Kentucky; and one brother, Robert Proctor of Calvert City, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Proctor; paternal grandparents, William and Mary Proctor; and maternal grandparents, Lowell and Ola Travis. His parents were John Ronald Proctor and Mildred Louise Travis Proctor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. The Rev. K. Alan Miller and Bro. Steve Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Benton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
