Peter Louis Gasperini

Staff report

Peter Louis Gasperini, 87, formerly of Boaz, Kentucky, passed away on July 6, 2014 at his residence in East Canaan, Connecticut.

Mr. Gasperini was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah. He was a retired owner/operator of a package store, a volunteer for the Canaan, Connecticut Fire Department and Falls Village, Connecticut Fire Department, a past Scout Master and Little League baseball coach.  

Peter is survived by his wife, Debbie Watts Gasperini of Boaz, Kentucky; daughter, Susan Gasperini Lu and husband James of Charlotte, North Carolina; son, Perry Gasperini and wife Susan of East Canaan, Connecticut; three grandchildren, Alex, Adam and Morgan Gasperini; great-granddaughter, Mckynzie Gasperini; brother, Daniel Gasperini of East Canaan, Connecticut; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Gasperini; three sisters; and one brother. His parents were John and Teresa Terenghi Gasperini.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Brian Roby officiating.

A visitation will follow the 2 p.m. memorial service until 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Lourdes Hospice Building Fund, 1530 Lone Oak Road, Paducah, KY 42003-9976.
