John Marshall Harrison

Staff report

John Marshall Harrison, age 95, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 6 a.m. at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

He was a native of the Olive community of Marshall County and a retired farmer. He was a lifelong member of Olive United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Vera Watkins Harrison; sister, Mary Brooks Walker, and brother-in-law, John Edd Walker.

Mr. Harrison is survived by a niece, Sharon Walker Howard, and great-nephew, Gabe Crawford.

Services for Mr. Harrison will be Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with the Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Olive United Methodist Church Cemetery, Olive, Kentucky.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Collier Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Olive United Methodist Church, 3504 Old Olive Road, Benton, KY 42025.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, Ky.
